Vaz, Buranello, Shingaki & Oioli Advogados has annouced José Afonso Leirião Filho (pictured) as new partner.
He is specializes in Business and Agribusiness Law has just been promoted from Senior Lawyer to Partner of Vaz, Buranello, Shingaki & Oioli Advogados – VBSO, as part of the law firm’s growth plans.
Leirião Filho holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Mackenzie Presbyterian University and is a master’s candidate in Commercial Law at the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), with a background of over thirteen years in business litigation, insolvency and agribusiness credit recovery.
Also, in 2016, he completed the Master of Laws in Business Law from CEU Law School, having also worked for other prestigious law firms.
José Afonso is a professor of the Agribusiness Law course at Insper, and at the Brazilian Agribusiness Law Institute (IBDA).
He also sits in the Permanent Committee for Bankruptcy and Reorganization Law at IASP, and has written several papers, especially in relation to Insolvency Law and corporate disputes.
